Configure Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager for SharePoint 2010

After you install Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2010, you must configure the Internet Information Services software to set up the session modules for use with Web Parts.

After deploying the Cognos® web parts, make sure that the SharePoint site in IIS has the "Session" module enabled and the handler mappings named "CognosPortletResource" and "CognosPortletServices" specified. If these settings are not specified, add them manually using the instructions that are provided in this section.
